The DCC Centre Salop St Dudley Dy1 3AT
In 2007/8 Dudley Community Church purchased the pub that is adjacent to the church. (The Present DCC Centre) It offered a large space downstairs with a kitchen, toilets and storage space and upstairs were four rooms, a toilet and kitchenette.
The Church were then able to expand its community activities and a soup kitchen (Heavens Kitchen) was set up running on a Monday evening and Saturday morning with over 100 different people now attending weekly.;
In 2009 it was felt that people coming to the soup kitchen required emotional support aswell as having their physical needs met and a counselling/support service was provided in the rooms upstairs a couple of days a week. And at this point Dudley Counselling Centre came into being and the services and activities it now provides include: (Dudley Counselling Centre has now changed it name to LighthouseCounselling.org.)
